** ENSURE YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE DATA CONNECTION VIA 3G OR WIFI connection **
Before you begin a Windows Live account will need to be set up for access to the App Store. This can be done via the AirWatch app install.
Open the App Store and search for Airwatch, Select AirWatch MDM Agent, install it and open it. If you do not have a windows live account, you will be asked to create one. You will need to create an account to progress past this point. If you have a pre-existing account, please enter it when asked.
If you get the pop up requesting AirWatch to use your location, click “allow” (this pop up may be presented just after enrollment).
Press on AirWatch to open the app
If you get the pop up requesting AirWatch to use your location, click OK (this pop up may be presented just after enrollment). Click Continue without email address, and then enter: mdm.mobile-mentor.co.nz in the Host Name field and Your Group ID in the Group ID field. Click Next.
In the select Group ID drop down select the appropriate group and click “Next.”
On the next screen, enter your network user name and password (your windows network login)and select Corporate - Dedicated. The device will now be enrolled.
You will now be presented with the below screen.
Write down the Temporary Password. You will need to physically write this password down on a piece of paper. It is important that you copy it EXACTLY as you see it.
Then select the “Copy” button under the “Final Step (2 of 2)” You will need to enter this password and server address in the Workplace Section in the next step.
Now exit out of AirWatch (Press the Windows icon on the bottom middle of the device) and you will return to the main menu of the phone.
Now scroll across the screen and select “settings”. Then locate and open “Workplace” and select “add account”
Now enter in your Email address and select “Sign in”
Then you will be prompted to enter in a Server. Select the “Server” field and then select the “Paste” icon/button (circle with a clip board top right hand side of keyboard) and the server address will appear in the server field. Then select: “Sign in”
*If you cannot copy the server address, please type the following:
https://mobilementor.co.nz/DeviceServices/Discovery.aspx in to the server text field.
Then enter in the password/token you wrote down on a piece of paper earlier from AirWatch in the “password” field.
Then enter in your Network windows log on name in “username” field.
Then enter your Domain into the “Domain” field. Then select “Sign in” and then “Done”
Then press the Windows icon at the bottom middle of the device to return to the main screen.
Then scroll across the screen and open AirWatch and you will then be prompted to create a Password. Click “Set” and then create a password for the device. This Password is the “lock code” for the phone.
You can now exit out of AirWatch by pressing the Windows icon at the bottom middle of the device to return to the main screen - after you see the below screen.
When at the main screen, look for a new tile/icon called Email.
Open the Email from the main screen as below.
Enter in your Windows logon Desktop Password in the password field. Select “Save”
You Email, contacts and calendar will now be Downloading and syncing to your device.
