You can resolve most microphone related issues by ensuring all the correct settings are selected on your device.
- Open the Start Menu and select the Settings Cog
on the left hand panel
- Select System
- Select Sound
- Under Input, you need to select the correct input device from the drop-down menu
- Select Device properties
- Use the slider under Volume to adjust the volume setting for your microphone
