Method 1 - New chat icon

1. Select the New Chat icon to the left of the search bar at the top of the screen
   
2. Enter the name of the person you are trying to private chat, then select the person's name from the drop down list.
   
3. Type your message, then select the arrow or press enter to send
   

Method 2 - Search Bar

1. Click on the search bar at the top of the window
2. Enter the name of the person you are trying to contact and select the person from the drop down list
   
3. Type your message, then select the arrow or press enter to send
   

Method 3 - Recent or Contact

1. If you have been in contact with someone previously or added someone as a contact then navigate to the appropriate tab, Recent or Contacts
    
2. Click on the person's name that you want to private chat
3. Type your message, then select the arrow or press enter to send
