A padlock next to the name of a Teams channel indicates a private channel Only members of private channels can see and participate in private channels that they are added to.

If a user requires access to a private channel they will need to be added by a Team Owner.

Note:

• A private channel can have a maximum of 250 members.
• Each Team can have a maximum of 30 private channels.
